BOSTON - Kevin Garnett led a balanced Celtics attack with 19 points and seven rebounds as Boston used a strong third quarter and held on late, topping Miami, 85-82, at TD Garden.

Rajon Rondo registered a triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists while Glen Davis posted 16 points in a reserve role for the Celtics, who now have sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference with a 39-14 record.
Kendrick Perkins added 15 points, and Ray Allen finished with 13 points for Boston, which saw on off performance from Paul Pierce who finished with one point on 0-of-10 from the field.
Chris Bosh paced the Heat with a game-high 24 points and 10 boards. LeBron James added 22 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while Dwyane Wade scored 16 as Miami saw an eight-game winning streak snapped.
