Amar'e Stoudemire will play Sunday against Indiana, but he's hardly out of the woods.

Stoudemire's phantom 16th technical foul from Thursday night's game in Dallas was rescinded by the NBA yesterday, nullifying a one-game suspension. But Stoudemire still stands one technical away from a one-game suspension.

It is the third time this season Stoudemire has had a technical revoked by the league office.

Referee Bennett Salvatore cited Stoudemire and Dallas' Brendan Haywood for double technicals after they became entangled and Stoudemire lightly pushed Haywood away. During a TV timeout, Stoudemire and Salvatore chatted about the incident and both were seen laughing it off.

Stoudemire said after the game he was confident Salvatore would do the right thing.

Nevertheless, Stoudemire has not adapted to the stricter rules regarding technical fouls and has been outspoken in defending his actions, calling basketball an emotional game.

There isn't a doubt Stoudemire will be held to the strictest standards the rest of the way, considering he actually has been called for 18 in-game technicals and has yet to be suspended. Every two technicals after 16 is another one-game suspension.
