LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- If Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley had grand welcome arrivals inside the lobby of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, the McCarran International Airport had its own version of a grand welcome to very important people (VIPs) supporting Pacquiao.

Limousines, including a luxurious Rolls Royce, waited outside the arrival area with their own designated chauffeurs to transport the VIPs to their respective hotels.

Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson was one of the spectators who arrived Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila).

Singson said he is happy that Las Vegas will again play host to a Pacquiao fight since it has been 2 years since the Filipino fought in the boxing capital of the world.

"There are more actions here than in Texas. Parang malungkot ang Texas, dito masaya,” said Singson.

When asked if he will be betting in the fight, the Ilocos Sur governor said: “Ay yes, of course, konti lang."

Along with Singson were Pacquiao's sister Isidra and Pacquiao's dad.

“Handang handa na siya… Masaya ‘yun [pag nagkita kami mamaya],” said Isidra.

When asked why the “Pacmom,” Dionisia Pacquiao, was not with them to watch the fight, Isidra said “Mommy D" is gearing up for her birthday celebration in General Santos City on May 15.
