Tired, inaccurate and even a bit dumb. That describes the lackadaisical performance of the Los Angeles Lakers last night in a 93-81 defeat that rolled them into an 0-2 ditch against Dallas.
LA started the game 0-for-15 on three-pointers and didn't score from behind the arc until only 2:43 remained. Worse, Ron Artest clotheslined Jose Barea with just 24.4 seconds left, which may subject the Lakers' best defender to a suspension for Game 3 in Dallas on Friday. (See the video.)
Only three NBA teams have rebounded to win a best-of-seven playoff series after dropping starting 0-2 at home. Lakers fans appeared to be among the biggest doubters of LA's fast-eroding chances for a threepeat, booing as their team left the court.
Are you as pessimistic?
