Four-time Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach says he has a good game plan for defeating Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"I think I have a good plan to beating Mayweather," Roach told WorldBoxingNews.net.
But he admitted that defeating Mayweather, who has not suffered a loss throughout his career, will be tough.
"He is definitely the most difficult fighter to beat in the world, and I look forward to the challenge of fighting him," Roach said.
Roach already had a chance to defeat Mayweather once, when he trained Oscar de la Hoya for his bout against Mayweather during their 2007 match.
But Mayweather defeated de la Hoya via split decision.
Tired of Pacquiao-Mayweather?
Roach also said the excitement for a possible superfight between Mayweather and pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao is already waning.
"In terms of excitement about the fight, it's already peaked and gone away," Roach said.
He added that boxing fans have gotten tired of the drama surrounding the fight.
Despite this, Roach is confident that he has 2 fighters who are capable of defeating Mayweather – Pacquiao and British boxing prodigy, Amir Khan.
"I think I've got 2 guys that I can beat Mayweather with, and whoever meets him first, I don't care," Roach said.
